How to Use the Prophecy Generator
The warriors cats prophecy generator is simple. Press the generate button and you will get 5 StarClan-style prophecies at once. Each one is built from story templates and a big word list full of nature images, Clan life and seasons, so every batch is different.
Read through them and see which one gives you chills. If none fit your story, press the button again for 5 more. When you find one you love, you can save it as a picture. The tool places your prophecy on a starry night sky, like a message glowing in Silverpelt, so you can share it, use it as a cover for your story or keep it for later.
Everything happens in your browser, so you can roll as many times as you like.
What Makes a Good Prophecy
In the Warriors series, StarClan rarely says anything plainly. Their messages come in dreams, signs and short, puzzling lines. That is what makes them fun. Here is what most great prophecies have in common.
It is vague on purpose
A prophecy should never say exactly who or what it is about. Instead of naming a cat, it hints. A line about fire might point to a cat with a flame-colored coat, or to a real fire in the forest, or to a fiery temper. When readers can argue about the meaning, the prophecy is working.
It uses nature imagery
Clan cats think in terms of the world around them. Prophecies talk about leaves, storms, rivers, shadows, stars and the moon. Animals show up too, like hawks, foxes and badgers. These images feel natural for cats who live in the forest and they make the message feel ancient.
It has a double meaning
The best prophecies can come true in a way nobody expected. Maybe everyone thinks the warning about frost means a harsh leaf-bare season, but it really means a cat named Frostfeather. Plan one obvious meaning and one hidden meaning, and you have a twist ending ready to go.
It is short
Most prophecies are one or two lines. Short lines are easy to remember, and they leave room for mystery.
Ideas for Using Your Prophecy
A prophecy is a perfect story starter. Here are some ways to use the one you generated:
- Start a fan fiction. Open your first chapter with a medicine cat receiving the prophecy in a dream, then let the rest of the story slowly reveal what it means.
- Kick off a roleplay. Share the prophecy with your group and let each player guess what it means. Different characters can believe different things, which creates great drama.
- Pick a chosen cat. Decide which character the prophecy is really about. Build them from scratch in the warrior cat oc maker.
- Build the world around it. Need Clans, leaders and rivals for your prophecy to affect? The warrior cat clan generator can create a whole Clan in seconds.
- Name the kits. Many prophecies are about kin, like a cat's kits or grandkits. Give each one a name with the warrior cat name generator.
- Make art. Save your prophecy as a night-sky picture and use it as a title card, a bookmark or a background for your drawing.
Examples
Here are a few prophecies in the same style the tool makes, with ideas for what they could mean:
- When the river runs silver, the quiet one will speak. This could mean a shy cat finds their voice during a full moon. Or a cat named Silverbrook could reveal an important secret.
- Ash will fall before the first frost, and the forest will remember. Maybe a warrior named Ashwhisker gives up something important. Or maybe a real fire happens, and the Clan must rebuild before leaf-bare.
- Three shadows walk where the hawk once flew. This might point to three littermates with dark coats, or to three cats who explore a high, rocky place nobody visits anymore.
- The smallest leaf holds back the storm. A tiny apprentice could save the Clan, or a gentle peacemaker might stop a battle before it starts.
See how each one has at least two possible meanings? That is the secret. Roll a few times with the warriors cats prophecy generator, pick the one that sparks the best ideas, and let StarClan guide your story.
