Privacy Policy

Warrior Cat Generator is a free, fan-made set of Warrior Cats tools. Most of it needs no account at all. Accounts are only for the AI features: AI cat art, backstories and saved cats. This policy explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and who helps us.

The short version

• The free tools (names, Clans, the Cat Maker, the quiz and the rest) need no account, and what you make with them stays in your browser.
• If you sign in to use the AI features, we keep your name and email address from Google, your credits and orders, the cats you ask the AI to paint or write about, and the cats you save.
• We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use what you make to train AI models.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address and profile picture from the Google account you sign in with.
• AI requests: what you send to make a portrait or a backstory: your cat's name, its look from the Cat Maker, the style, Clan, rank, personality traits and length you pick, and what the AI makes back.
• Saved cats: the cats and portraits you save to My cats.
• Credits and orders: your credit balance and history, and the packs you buy. Our payment provider holds your card details. We never see or store them.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, and error logs, which we use to keep the site safe and working.

What stays in your browser

Some tools remember things for you, such as your favorite names and the options you used last. This is stored only in your own browser, using a feature called localStorage, and is never sent to us. To remove it, clear the site data for this website in your browser settings.

How we use your information

• To create your account and sign you in.
• To make the portraits and backstories you ask for, and to keep the cats you save.
• To manage your credits and purchases, and to give credits back when a picture or story fails.
• To prevent abuse, such as too many requests from one person, fix errors and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your cats, portraits or stories to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share your information only with providers that help us run the site, and only as much as each one needs:

• Cloudflare: hosts the website, and stores your portraits in private storage (Cloudflare R2).
• Neon: hosts our database, which holds your account, credits, orders, AI requests and saved cats.
• Alibaba Cloud Model Studio: the AI models it hosts paint the portraits and write the backstories. We send only your cat's name, its look and the options you pick, never your email address. It may process this outside the United States.
• Waffo Pancake: processes card payments as our Merchant of Record.
• Google: signs you in.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.

We also share information when the law requires it.

Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else. We use them only to create your account, sign you in and show your account. We don't access your Google Drive, contacts or any other Google data. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can remove our access at any time in your Google account settings.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data security

We use HTTPS for all traffic. Your portraits are private to your account, and we open them only through signed links that expire after one hour.

Retention

• Account, AI requests and saved cats: we keep them while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete them, and your portraits, within 30 days.
• Billing records: we keep them as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time on the My cats page. You may also have the right to access, correct or export your information. For any request, email support@warriorcatgenerator.com. We reply within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Many of our visitors are young readers, and we take that seriously. The free tools collect no personal information from anyone. Accounts use Google sign-in. Children under 13 can only have a Google account that a parent manages through Google Family Link, and they should sign in only with that parent's permission. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy credits.

If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has given us personal information without permission, email support@warriorcatgenerator.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this policy first. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
